The Grey Sight: An Erotic Novella Page 3

“I have wanted you forever.” Chase moaned under her mouth. “You have no idea how true those words are for me.”

They kissed deeply and Lily could feel him growing hard underneath her. The train rattled underneath them, its vibration stimulating the tingling in her pants. His hands moved around her waist, and be began rocking her gently against her hardness, sliding her up and down his manhood as it pushed, strained against the fabric of his pants. Lily gave a buck of pleasure and pressed down against him. Her soft folds could feel the ripples of erectness through her thin pants. He moved her forward and back upon it as he bit softly at her lip.

Chase moaned. “God, you are so raw and delicious. I want all of you. ALL OF YOU.”

Their thrusting grew frenzied as they moved together, his black eyes never leaving her grey ones. The grey light that emanated from his person was moving around them both now, twisting and leaping as their bodies moved closer, pulsing and rearing with their passion. Chase pulled back with a groan – his hand resting just above her breast.

“We have to go. NOW. I’m sorry, trust me. I’m VERY sorry.” Panting, he pulled her off his lap to her feet. “We have to get off the train at the next stop.”

Lily could barely think. Her loins pulsed with heat. “If you insist.” Can we stay in this train car forever?, she thought. Lily wiped a bead of sweat off her forehead. Chase frowned.

“They’re coming! I can feel them. Riggor and Sappho. They are coming back. I have to keep you safe, because I will never be without you – and your body - again.”

Lily gave a nod as Chase wrapped his arms around her.

“Now that I’ve officially met you, I have to make sure you stay. I have a plan.”

Lily nuzzled his shoulder, trying to keep her passion at bay. “Where did you come from?” she murmured.

“You would be surprised.” He said with a smile.

“You could have said anywhere” she said with a dazzling smile. Her grey eyes brimmed with lust and happiness. Chase brushed his lips softly against hers and let the back of his fingers press ever so softly against her mound. Then he pulled away with a painful groan.

“It’s time to move. We have to jump off a train now.”

Normally this would have terrified Lily, but the only thing she could think of was how bad she wished that she was still riding his hardness in the back of the caboose.

  Chapter Five

As the cab hurtled through the rain, Lily leaned back and stared at Chase.

He was sitting agitated on his side of the seat, staring out the window, his long body draped handsomely over the vinyl seat.

Lily placed her hand over his, giving him a reassuring smile. Chase stared at her with a tortured look on his face.

“Are you okay?” she mouthed. Chase turned and moved closer to her, tracing his fingers up her the side of her neck. Lily felt a blush rising up her cheeks, and warmth spreading in between her thighs.

“That was hard” he said. “Leaving that train car. I’ve waited to taste your body for SO long.”

His fingers traced circles down her blouse.

“No, Chase…stop…” She nodded her head to the cab driver behind the glass in front of her.

“He can’t see me.” Chase murmured.

Lily smiled. “No, but he can see me”, she said under her breath.

  “Then don’t move.”

He pressed his lips to her throat, letting his cool breath wash over her chest. He gently trailed his fingertips down the neck of her blouse, finding the soft crevasse between her soft breasts. He slipped his hand underneath her shirt as his tongue licked up and down her neck.

“I can’t sit beside you and not touch you.” He whispered in her ear. “We have been apart for almost 90 years. Another minute away is torture.”

Hands spreading wide, her ran his fingers gently over her breast. His fingertips found her wide pink nipple and trailed back and forth over them. Lily felt them swell against his hand and gave a soft moan.

“Shhh…” hushed Chase. Lily bit her lip, drawing blood. Chase licked it away as his fingers teased her nipples underneath her shirt. Lily’s back arched as she pressed her palm against him and let out a tiny cry. Chase’s skin was emitting the grey light again and it gave a tiny shimmer when Lily’s breast swelled in his palm. He tugged on her breast with a hungry hand and gave a deep groan.

“These are better than I could have ever dreamed. I must have them in my mouth immediately.”

Lily couldn’t take any more. She let out a small cry as Chase devoured her neck with his lip. Lily let out a moan and wrapped her fingers in his thick black hair. The cabdriver raised his eyebrow at her the rearview mirror.

  “Ma’am, are you okay?”

Lily gave a tiny giggle as Chase gave her nipple a tiny tweak. “Yes, I’m fine.”

“Good. We’re here.” The cab screeched to a stop. Damn. Chase gave her cheek a soft kiss.

“I hope you enjoyed that as much as I did.” Lily smiled at him as she paid the cab driver. Chase stepped out of the cab.

“So…this is your townhome? It’s uh…nice.” Lily laughed as she pulled her key out of her purse.

“It’s Jess’s. I’m sure it’s not up to your tombstone standards, but it’s nice.”

Chase pushed back his hair back from his face. “I don’t live in a grave Lily; I live in a downtown loft, if you must know.” She paused. Suddenly her townhome REALLY looked awful. She saw a shadow pass in front of a window. Chase saw it to, and he crouched protectively in front of her. It passed again. Lily let out a sigh of relief.

  “It’s only Jess, my roommate.”

Chase stood up. “Can she be trusted?”

“Yes and no. She’s fiercely loyal, but she also would be trying to get in your pants off within minutes of meeting you. She has a voracious appetite, and everyone is fair game. She’s been trying for years to get me into a sexual relationship with her, but it’s never taken.”

“I guess it’s good she can’t see me then.” Lily breathed a silent sigh of relief. At least. She couldn’t stomach the idea of anyone else touching Chase, ever again. His lean muscled body and flat torso were hers, all hers. Chase let both of his hands linger on her hips as she unlocked the door, his manhood pressing ever so slightly against her bottom.

“I wish she wasn’t home” he said, his mouth brushing the tops of her ears.

Lily gave a shiver. But she was. There was nothing more Lily wanted to be alone with Chase, and nothing she was more afraid of. Her passion might overwhelm him. Could he possibly want her as much as she desired him? Lily pushed open the door and they stepped inside.

“Jess?” she called. There was a deafening silence in the townhome. “She’s probably laid down for a nap. Afternoon naps are her thing.” said Lily. Chase took a few steps into the door.

“So, this is where Lily Harrow lives. I’ve dreamed of seeing it, many times.”

“You could have.” Lily shut the door behind her. “Before I had the grey sight, I wouldn’t have even known you were in here.”

Chase was looking at her pictures on the mantle, his brow furrowed with fascination. “That wouldn’t have been right. Your privacy was always precious to me. As much as I wanted to follow your every movement, that would have been creepy and disrespectful.” He picked up a silver frame.

“Your hair was so tangled when you were little. I remember you cutting it with scissors in the graveyard.”

“It was. Every year it got messier. And now…”

“Now it is perfect.” Replied Chase with a dazzling smile. “I could drown happily in your ringlets.”

He crossed the room quickly, pulling Lily into his strong arms. Lily felt all the breath whoosh out of her lungs as she was caught in his sexy grasp. He cradled her in his arms gently before pushing her back against the dresser by the door.

“Can I take you here, in the doorway? Do you think Jess would mind?”

Lily gave him a naughty smile.

“Hello?” Said a careful voice from the top of the stairs.

“Remember” Chase said, “She can’t see me.” Lily let her lips brush his for a second. He let her down.

“It’s just me.” She yelled to Jess.

A disembodied voice called down, “Aren’t you supposed to be at work? They called here.”

Lily had completely forgotten about work. She had lost her satchel when two couple had been chasing her through the train. Damn! There was months of research in there. Suddenly a thought shook her to the core. Months of research, her address and her journal.

“I wasn’t feeling myself. I’m actually going to the cottage, I think.”

Lily’s parents had left her a tiny cottage by the water when they passed away. It was her paradise, her quiet place. She could hear the waves lapping against the shore, and imagined Chase lying on the large King-sized bed, his naked body stretched out on the white covers.

  “Why are you going there?”

  Lily started to head upstairs.

“I just need some quiet time, that’s all.”

Jess blocked the narrow stairwell. “How long are you going to be there?”

“I’m not sure” Muttered Lily. “I just need to go pack. I promise I’ll tell you all about it later. And I think you should leave as well. Pack a bag. Jess, listen to me!”

As Lily walked up the stairs, Chase followed closely behind her. Jess stepped aside, out of the darkness.

“Why don’t we go downstairs and have some tea? I could give you a refresher from the other morning…”

  “No thanks” replied Lily.

“Why” asked Jess, twirling her dark curl around her finger. “Are you afraid my kiss will make you change your mind about girls?”

Chase wiggled his eyebrows and looked at Lily. She stared back at him, her face blushing red. He let out a tiny laugh and gave her a wink, letting his hand linger on the small of her back.

“We’re done here.” Lily said. “I have to go. I’ll call you later or something, I just have to pack.”

Lily turned the corner into her bedroom.

“Lily…” Jess stepped close in behind her, her eyes following Chase with his every step. “I think we need to talk.”

Wait a second, Lily thought with horror, she can SEE him!

Out of nowhere, Jess gave Chase a violent shove that sent him tumbling down the steep stairs. In one swift movement, she grabbed Lily by the back of the neck and threw her into her bedroom, slamming the door behind them. With almost inhuman strength, Jess pushed a dresser in front of the door and turned on Lily. The screaming started when she saw that Jess’s eyes were black.

  Chapter Six

“Shut UP you whore.” Jess hissed menacingly.

“He can’t get past the door. That dresser weighs a ton.” She knelt over Lily, sprawled on the ground. “What, do you LOVE him now? Are you going to run away with him, your little ghost boy?”

“You don’t know anything” stammered Lily, struggling to get up.

“Oh, but I do…” She grabbed Lily’s chin roughly.

“I know that I was never enough for you. I know that you only let me get close to you when you were feeling lonely, waiting for something else, something BETTER. It couldn’t have ever been just me, oh no, not for precious Lily Harrow.” Lily squirmed against her hand.

“Oh, are you uncomfortable now? After being a tease for years?”

Lily gasped as Jess tightened her grip on her face. “Jess, who did this to you? You aren’t yourself right now! Jess would never hurt me!” Lily looked around for a weapon.

“Riggor and Sappho were here. They came after me, for you! Now, doesn’t that just seem a little unfair? After they had their way with me, they held me down, and she stabbed me, over and over again. And just when I was on the brink of death, Sappho pressed her gorgeous lips against mine and now I’m a grey-walker, just like Chase, your boyfriend.”

Lily focused all her attention on Jess’s black eyes. Maybe there was some remnant of Jess left, the gentle and funny Jess who had so worshipped and adored her.

“You don’t have to hurt me, or Chase.” Oh Chase, she thought, where are you? Are you alive? Did you leave me? Are you unconscious?

Every fiber in her body yearned to see his face.

“I told them that I would keep you here until they come back with reinforcements. I was going to try to be nice about it, but then you brought that stupid graveyard lurker home with you and I knew it wouldn’t work. What is so great about him, Lily? What does he have that I can’t give you? Can he fuck you better? Can he love you better? I have ALWAYS loved you, and you have never once looked at me the way you look at him, you stupid bitch.”

She ripped Lily’s shirt open, exposing her right breast. Jess ran her finger over Lily’s nipple. “Pink and raw. Looks like someone has been playing with it recently.” She gave it a single lick. Then she sat up, angry passion smeared across her face. “I will have you before they come. They’re almost here. Did you know that I can feel them now? Being a grey-walker is amazing, way better than being alive. And you, being a mortal...” she gave an orgasmic shudder. “I can’t even describe how good it will be to taste you living and then see you dead. And when I bring your body to the Great Houses with my new friends, we will all be richly rewarded. All for the cost of one indifferent roommate.”

She gave an evil laugh, and a new grey light began to glow from underneath her skin.

“Do you like that?” she asked. “It’s new.”

Jess reached above the dresser and pulled down a single blade. The handle was a red garnet laced with silver and the blade was stained a rust color.

“About an hour ago, this knife ended my life. And now it’s going to end yours as well.”

She traced it down Lily’s neck. “Don’t worry, I’ll be merciful. Quick and painless, a thank you for the hours that it brought me ecstasy to fantasize about you.”

The knife edged up to her heart. Jess’s other hand was still held Lily’s arms above her head. Her mouth trembled.

“I’m truly sorry Lily. But I see no other way.”

Lily took a deep breath, and let her last thoughts linger on Chase. Oh grey-walker gods, she thought, please keep him safe.

There was a faint scratching sound, and suddenly glass was flying everywhere. Lily covered herself with her arms. Jess was not so lucky. Sharp pieces had tucked itself into her chest and cheek, black blood flowing freely. She looked up at the window and bared her teeth. Chase rose from the floor, bleeding from a dozen tiny cuts.

“Get off her. You don’t understand any of this Jess. I can help you adjust to this new life, we can explain everything. You aren’t yourself right now. Those two people…”

“The people who murdered ME?” Jess gritted her teeth.

“They stabbed me, crying out Lily’s name. And yours. Everything in my life has revolved around her and now, I finally have her undivided attention.” She looked down. “Don’t I, Lil?”

It was the moment that Chase needed. He launched himself across the room at Jess, slamming her back into the dresser. He was quicker than her, and much more skilled. Blinding grey light shimmered off both of their bodies as they danced together, fighting to the death. Jess managed to slice open his shirt with her blade and left a thin trail of black blood across his chest. Chase was breathing heavy, his bare chest glistening in the window light.

“Jess, I’m begging you. This is your last chance! You are Lily’s friend. Stop this and join with us. You do not have to bow to those who murdered you. I will help you! Please! I do not want to kill Lily’s friend, but I will if you try to hurt her again. Being changed into a grey-walker can affect your personality – I know, I have been there! Don’t do this!”

Jess’s eyes glittered with black hatred. “Oh that’s not it at all. I don’t care about them. I care about her! If I can’t have her whole heart…”

She looked over at Chase with pure hatred.

  “The
n you certainly can’t.”

With that, she threw herself towards Lily, her bloody knife outstretched. Chase was much faster, and stronger. He hit Jess while she was still in midair. The force of his body slammed against her, and they both flew through the air, screaming and cursing. Jess had managed to wrap her hands around his neck, her legs around his waist.

Jess gave a scream, and without a shred of emotion, Chase hurtled himself towards the wall. He slammed Jess against it once, and then again, before hurtling her body out of the window. Jess flew through the air, landing with a sickening splat on the iron picket fence below. Her black eyes turned a bright green before she shut them forever. Lily ran to the window. Chase was crouched on a narrow window ledge. Lily covered her mouth with her hands and let out a tiny sob.

“Are you okay?” he asked, “Did she hurt you?”

Chase shook his head. “I’ll be fine. I heal quickly.”

He looked down at Jess and back up at Lily before shaking his head. “That was her second death. She won’t survive that.” Lily barely had time to raise her hands to her face when the front door slammed. Chase froze.

“They’re here.” he said, and pulled her out the window into empty space.

  Chapter Seven

As Lily inched down the drainpipe, she wondered how she had ever gotten to this point.

One week ago, she had been sitting her office at the National Ancestry Registry, daydreaming about a man who would one day come and awaken her passions…and now he was right below her, climbing down a drainpipe, fleeing from some black-eyed demons that wanted to kill her.

“Almost there.” Chase said, his lilting accent like a song in her ears.

Worth it, she thought. Worth climbing down a million drainpipes.

Chase slipped his hands around her waist, lifting her to the ground.

“Come on” he said. “My car is parked around the corner.”

Lily gave him a bemused look. “I thought you weren’t stalking me.”

Chase wrapped his hand around hers as they ran through the yard, his other hand shielding Lily from the gruesome sight of Jess’s body.

“Stalking and protecting are different. I followed you this morning, and I’m glad I did. Otherwise…”
